WHAT IS COSMETIC TATTOOING?
Cosmetic Tattooing involves the safe and precise implantation of pigmented ink into the dermal layer of the skin using small, sterile, disposable needles. This procedure is aimed at creating the illusion of lifelike semi-permanent makeup and is primarily focused on enhancing the natural appearance of your eyebrows.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Cosmetic Tattooing offers a semi-permanent enhancement designed to endure for a duration of up to 3 years. The longevity of the results can vary among individuals and is influenced by factors such as the chosen technique, skin type, lifestyle, and overall health. Clients are provided with the choice of scheduling an annual touch up to uphold the appearance of their Cosmetic Tattoo.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED?
You will undergo two sessions, spaced 6 to 12 weeks apart: your Initial Appointment and your Touch Up Appointment.
WHY DO I NEED A TOUCH UP?
Cosmetic Tattooing is a two-step process. Once you’ve fully healed from your Initial Appointment, it’s essential to schedule a touch up between 6 to 12 weeks after the initial session. This second step allows us to make any final adjustments to the shape or colour, if necessary. Healing experiences can vary among individuals, and there may be slight loss of shape and colour during the recovery period from the first session. This is why your touch up is crucial, it enables us to refine and complete your Cosmetic Tattoo.
If your Cosmetic Tattoo doesn’t heal perfectly after the first session, there’s no need to worry, as the purpose of the touch up is to address these issues. Skin can be unpredictable at times.
Please keep in mind that it’s the client’s responsibility to schedule their touch up appointments, as delaying this step can significantly impact the final outcome. For optimal results, your touch up appointment should not be scheduled later than 12 weeks after the initial appointment.
HOW DO YOU SELECT THE RIGHT COLOUR AND SHAPE FOR ME?
Every Cosmetic Tattoo appointment encompasses a comprehensive consultation before commencing the tattooing process. During this consultation, I will evaluate your skin tone and carefully choose a pigment that harmonises with your skin, hair, and eye colour. Additionally, I’ll inquire about the level of intensity you aim to achieve as your final result, and this preference will inform my pigment selection. The shape of your eyebrows will be meticulously determined, taking into account your facial features and bone structure, with precise measurements taken. It’s important to emphasise that all eyebrow designs are tailored to you as an individual to achieve the most natural and realistic outcome. It’s crucial to note that Cosmetic Tattooing is not intended for significant changes to your eyebrow shape; rather, it serves as an enhancement.
WHAT IF I DON’T LIKE THE SHAPE?
Before commencing the tattooing process, all clients are presented with the pre drawn design and measurements. This allows you the opportunity to request any adjustments if needed. I always strive to ensure that you are completely satisfied with the shape before proceeding to the next phase. It’s important, however, to maintain realistic expectations regarding the shape, as the goal is to enhance your natural eyebrow shape.
We place a strong emphasis on ensuring that clients are 100% content with the shape before any tattooing takes place. If, at a later time, you decide to make changes after the tattooing has occurred, removal sessions are available (at your expense). Alternatively, you can choose not to attend your touch up appointment, allowing the tattoo to naturally fade over time.
IS IT PAINFUL?
Pain tolerance levels differ among individuals, but during the procedure, we utilise a Topical Aesthetic to help manage discomfort. Remarkably, most of our clients have reported feeling so comfortable that they can even doze off during the process.
